Identification method of crystal quality:

Below I tell you the difference between high quality crystal and ordinary quality.

Look at the product in the place where the light is strong. You can see the wavy stripes in the crystal. Crystal concept:

1. What is crystal? That is, high lead crystal glass.

The composition of ordinary glass is silicon dioxide (SiO). Crystal is high lead glass, or lead  crystal glass, that is, 24% lead oxide PbO is added to ordinary glass. The international standard for lead oxide PbO is 24%. At thtis time, the chemical properties of the crystals are the best. Compared with ordinary glass, it is mainly reflected in the large amount (heavy feel) and high refractive index (multicolored six that can transmit the spectrum) Color), high hardness (wear resistance). The lead glass of 24% lead oxide PbO can be made into high-grade high-quality lead glass artwork by refining, removing impurities, hand-blown, grinding and polishing, and fine engraving. The light can be reflected in the multicolored six colors through the engraved facets.

2. 24% PbO: the indication of high quality high lead glass. Usually, non-brand crystal products do not meet this standard, only 10% or less, or simply do not contain lead oxide PbO, fake crystal, like some unnamed small workshop products.

3. Natural crystal: natural block shape, only suitable for stone collectors, lead oxide PbO content is usually 5% to 10%, is a mineral raw material, large impurity content, not suitable for direct processing to manufacture high quality glassware. Only after refining, add lead oxide PbO, the content can reach 24%.
